Off-Track Garage Door Repair Cost
One Phoenix company lists off-track repair at $165 to $450, and says the price depends on whether the tracks, rollers or cables were damaged.[1] A Mesa company's published price list charges $150 for the off-track repair itself.[3]
A reset alone sits at the low end. Anything that adds parts moves you up.
Stop using the door until someone has looked at it. Running the opener or forcing the door can bend the track, crease panels and make a cable or roller failure worse.

Cost by Damaged Part
Each damaged part adds to the reset. Prices below come from company sites in Arizona, and they vary by door size, access and parts availability.
Rollers
A full set of rollers typically costs $175 to $350 in Phoenix according to one company,[1] and $150 to $300 for the East Valley.[2] Mesa's published price for a standard residential set is $125.[3]

Bent or Crushed Track
Bent-track replacement is typically $165 to $500 in Phoenix.[1] East Valley track repair or realignment runs $125 to $350.[2]
A slight bend may be straightened. A crushed section gets replaced.

Panel Damage
East Valley panel replacement is listed at $250 to $800 including parts and labor.[2] A bent section may be the only part that needs replacing.
The single panel vs whole door comparison explains when that works.
Cables and Springs
Cable or spring failure raises the price further. Mesa's list shows $100 for a pair of replacement cables.[3] One Phoenix-area company's site lists a jumped cable repair at $295.
Spring jobs depend on the door, so ask for an itemized quote. See garage door cable replacement cost for details.

When a Reset Becomes a Replacement
A clean derailment with intact panels rarely needs a new door. Replacement starts to make sense when:
- Several panels are creased or buckled, since a bent panel keeps stressing the track and rollers
- Sections are no longer available for an older model
- The repair quote is close to the price of a new door
- The door keeps coming off track after repairs
Ask the technician what caused the door to come off. If the cause isn't fixed, the reset money is wasted.
Request an itemized quote that separates the service call, labor, each part and any cable or spring work.
The repair or replace guide helps with close calls.
Verify the Contractor
Check the license at roc.az.gov/contractor-search, confirm it is current and that the class fits the work. Arizona generally requires a license for work of $1,000 or more, so a simple reset may fall below that line.
For contracts over $1,000, A.R.S. 32-1158 requires a written contract. It covers the license number, a description of the work, the total price including taxes, any deposit and the payment schedule.[1]
