Ask for the price in writing, and what it covers: the service call, the parts and the warranty. Check the ROC licence number a company lists before you sign. Grades come from public information only. How we grade.

How to choose a garage door company in the Valley

Start with the ROC number. Arizona requires a Registrar of Contractors licence once a job passes $1,000 in labor and materials, and most companies print theirs on the site. We show it exactly as listed and link to the ROC search, so you can confirm it is active and belongs to the company in a minute.

Then ask what the first visit costs. A service call is sometimes free with a repair and sometimes not, and a spring or opener price that says “from” is the start of a range, not the bill. Our cost guides say what moves each one.

Finally, get it in writing: the part, the warranty on parts and labor, and who deals with the HOA and the permit for a new door. Profiles quote what each company says about all of this, with the page it came from.
